Children in Need – Friday 17th November

We are taking part in the BBC’s Children in Need event on Friday 17th November because we know how keen the pupils are to help children and young people in need.

On the day, children are welcome to wear Children in Need merchandise/spotty clothes/pyjamas/non-uniform – please do not purchase anything especially.

Please do not send any donations into school. We have set up a JustGiving page so that donations can be made direct to the charity. Thank you to those of you who have already donated to such a wonderful cause.

Cross Country Race News

We had over 22 children taking part in the York Schools Cross Country races last week. These took place at Askham Bryan College and they are always very well attended by many children from across the city.

A huge well done to all those children who took part and especially Darcey in Y1 who ran the girls Y1 race, Lucas and Otis in year 2 who came 1st and 3rd in their race, and Lance and Jimmy in year 4 who came joint 8th in their age group.

The KS2 boys will go onto a race to represent York in the North Yorkshire Schools event at Giggleswick School on the 23rd November. Many thanks to the parents for providing the children with lifts to this event. It is much appreciated.Mrs Rowntree

Open Event for Children Starting Reception in September 2024

We are holding an open event for families of children starting school in September 2024. It is a drop-in event where families can see our amazing EYFS area, meet staff and ask questions. There will also have an opportunity to have a tour of the school. We would really appreciate it if you spread the world about this event.

For children starting school in September 2024, we invite families to come and visit our welcoming school. This will be a drop in event where you will have the chance to see our EYFS area and to meet staff and ask questions. November 22nd, 4-5pm, Dunnington CE Primary School.
