Hello Year 5 – hope you’ve all had a lovely half term and have been able to enjoy time in the beautiful sunshine that we’ve had!
For this week’s home learning, in addition to the usual Maths and English, there is also some Topic, Music and a fun Fitness and Wellbeing Bingo activity. We hope you enjoy these activities this week and remember to show us what you’ve been up to on Seesaw! We really do love receiving your messages and videos.
Don’t forget you can also take part in the PE challenges on the North Yorkshire Sport Virtual Challenge page of our website, which you can find here: https://www.dunningtonprimary.co.uk/north-yorkshire-sport-virtual-challenges This week is the last chance to enter the Balance Challenge!
A message to Parents/Carers: Whilst there are a range of activities available here for your child, please note that there is no expectation for them all to be completed. We encourage the children to do as much as they can, but we also recognise the challenges that come with home learning and appreciate that children are following their own interests during this time, which is also great to see!
Maths

Topic (Geography)
Geography work this week is looking at lines of latitude and longitude. Have a look at the powerpoint and then complete the tasks to get a better understanding of it. It might seem tricky at first, but if you use the powerpoint as a reference, you should be able to complete all of the tasks.
Music
Fitness and Wellbeing Bingo
Try and do as many of the activities on the bingo page as possible. If you do a few each day, you might be able to complete the whole bingo page in a week. Maybe you can initial each box after you’ve completed the activity.
