Hello again everyone! Thank you for everything you have been sending me through Seesaw. It’s been lovely looking at all the exciting things you have been up to and all the work you have been doing. Well done to you and to your parents! Here are our learning activities for this week. I hope you enjoy them.
You have all been working so hard at home and I’m very proud of each and every one of you! Here is a certificate for your parents to print off and fill in for you.
NAME WRITING This week I would like you to practise writing both your names beautifully. I know you don’t have your handwriting name cards with you, but just remember to start your letters in the correct place and keep them close together. Don’t forget that some letters are tall and some have tails. Watch my Seesaw video
Let’s dance and create! Here’s a fun alphabet song with actions for each letter. Using this to help you, see if you can make up your own dance for the letters of your first name. ( Parents, please explain the pronunciation of z-‘zed’-‘zee’) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWvBAQf7v8g
PHONICS This week we are learning the trigraph air. Let’s take a look and see what Geraldine has to say! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcHIX2xK–A
Tricky words I am putting on the Phase 3 and Phase 4 tricky word powerpoints and colouring activities for you to practise . Please don’t feel you have to do them ALL! Tricky Word Hopscotch. Draw the Hopscotch squares outside with chalk and choose some tricky words to write in the squares-then GO! You can change the tricky words each time you play!
WRITING We are continuing to be story tellers, like we were last time with The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 1.Choose a Storyboard dice game to get you started. You will need a dice. 2. When you have your setting, good character, bad character and prop, write a little about each one. Don’t forget to describe these . Watch my Seesaw video. 3. You and a grown up can then be storytellers and make up a story to tell. (You don’t have to write it at this stage) 4.If you have time, send me a Seesaw video of yourself telling your story! 5. Design and make a prop for your story!

R.E AND ART We have been thinking about Creation. Different world religions have their own Creation stories. There are similarities and differences between many of them and this is to be respected. Watch this video on the Christian version of the story . This story can also be found right at the beginning of the Bible . When you have seen it, draw or paint a picture or make a design to represent the creation story. Here are some ideas of how people have done it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teu7BCZTgDs
